Hand-crafted by Nick Nichols in Stone County, Arkansas, Driftwood Bows carry forward an Ozark tradition rooted in music, craft, and place. Each mouth bow is shaped from locally sourced woods—this one from eastern red cedar (Juniperus virginiana) harvested in the Ozarks—and built to highlight the natural voice of the material.

Born and raised in Arkansas, Nick moved to Stone County in the late 1990s, choosing a back-to-the-land lifestyle that led him to home-based art and craft. Surrounded by the traditional music of the Ozarks—and living in the home county of folk legend Jimmy Driftwood—he was inspired to begin making mouth bows as a way of carrying the tradition forward with his own hands.
